Dave Beasant has quit Pompey and in a surprising move joined Spurs. Beasant is unhappy with the way he has been dropped and Mandaric wants him out of the club.

A deal to sign Dave Beasant has gone through Fratton Faithful understands - contrary to a statement on the official site. The deal will see Pompey's loan keeper join Tottenham as cover for Neil Sullivan - it is thought that Mandaric refused to offer Beasant an extension and Rix used his contacts to find Beasant a place on the Tottenham bench.
