Another poor afternoon for the loanees

Gary O'Neil: Played the whole game for Pompey's future opponents Cardiff City, as they drew 0-0 with Leicester - not through want of trying mind you, as O'Neil hit the woodwork twice! It's another good result for the improving Bluebirds, and Lennie Lawrence has gone on record as saying Gazza has really turned their season round. Huzzah!

Richard Duffy: An unusued sub as, after their heroics to beat Villa in mid-week, Burnley came back down to earth with a bump. They lost 3-0 at newly promoted QPR.

John Curtis: Started for Preston as they went down 3-0 at Ipswich. Although substituted in the seventy-seventh minute, JC was still on the pitch for Preston when all three goals were conceded - bugger.

Rowan Vine: After being in patchy form after such a whirlwind start, Luton hit top gear again as they tonked Bradford 4-0. Rowan couldn't hit the back of the net unfortunately, and was subbed with ten minutes left on the clock.

Eddie Howe: Played the whole game for Bournemouth in their disappointing 3-1 home collapse to Barnsley.

Gary Silk: Never the cleanest of players, he missed Wycombe's 1-0 defeat at Darlington due to suspension - the ginger warrior has picked up five bookings already this campaign.

Shaun Cooper: Played the whole game and picked up a booking for Kidderminster as they lost 1-0 at home to Shrewsbury. Desperate times for the Harriers - this game pitted 24th against 23rd and it's the result from hell.

James Keene: Also played in the above 1-0 defeat, and was taken off with fifteen minutes left.
