One Pompey player today will be celebrating tonight despite our dismal defeat to Birmingham.

Lomana Lua Lua captained the Democratic Republic of Congo to a 2-0 win over World Cup qualifiers Togo, scoring and setting up a goal for team-mate Mabi. To be honest it could have been more too as Lua Lua had another great chance following a neat piece of skill in the box. DR Congo's next game is against Angola who lost 3-1 to Cameroon earlier today so if Lua Lua's team win that one then they will qualify into the knock out stages of the cup.

Tommorow Tunisia play Zambia and so Pompey fans will finally get a proper glimpse of Collins Mbesuma and what he can or cannot do.

One last side note. Miracles can happen. Sunderland won a match, more importantly it was against West Brom. Keep believing!
