A worrying position...

So as predicted by daring pundits and fans alike.. we were defeated fairly comfortably at the hands of Manchester United. Sloppy defending and oppurtunism being our downfall this time. So that's now ten points from fifteen games and because of results today our position has gotten worse and I am getting quite worried.

There was a degree of effort in todays performance, but not enough quality when it mattered and you just can't afford to make silly mistakes when the opposition contains the likes of Rooney and van Nistelrooy and suprise suprise Paul "I've forgotten how to score" Scholes managed to get his first goal this season against us.

It's pretty obvious that our squad needs some surgery, January could well be our saviour as we need to add some steel and firepower to the team and how could we possibly bring in this sort of personnel given the state we're in?

Well it just so happens a certain someone walked out on his job today, and this certain someone has a reputation for wheeling and dealing and looks almost certain (despite myself saying it was "unlikely" a few days ago) to be coming back to his "spiritual home" despite saying himself he was West Ham through and through. Now regardless of what you think of the man he does know the team and if he can come back here and get us to safety, something that looks pretty far away right now then I'd have to welcome him back.

But we shall see... "South Coast Wars" is far from ending as far as I see it and no doubt there'll be more developments within the current week. I mean would you really be suprised if in the FA Cup draw the number 36 was drawn followed by the number 30 tommorow? No doubt some more classic Redknapp whinging to the media and maybe even a lightsabre duel between Jedi Master Milan Mandaric and Evil Sith Lord Rupert Lowe.

Whatever happens the new manager "has a job on".....

......."For sure"
